PNC Father/Son Junior Challenge Recap
Inaugural event enjoyed by more than 20 teams.
The inaugural PNC Father/Son Junior Challenge, an extension of the annual PGA TOUR Challenge event, concluded over Father’s Day weekend at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club Orlando, Grande Lakes. The junior event was open to competitive juniors ages 11-18 and their parents. The event format consisted of a nationally-ranked junior event as well as a parent/junior team challenge in four-ball stroke play format, similar to the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
This unique playing opportunity made for a fun-filled weekend on the course for both juniors and parents alike. A complimentary welcome reception dinner was held on Friday, June 16 with tournament gifts provided by Under Armour. Saturday and Sunday rounds both went out in shotgun format at 8:00 AM. Both individual junior scores and overall team scores across each division were recognized with awards.
