IMG Junior Golf Tour ready to hit the links in New Jersey at Galloping Hill Golf Course

Bradenton, Fla. (March 12, 2015) – The IMG Junior Golf Tour is nearing the end of the 2014-15 Visit Sarasota County Northeast event series at Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth, N.J., Apr. 25-26. Galloping Hill marks the fifth of six events in the series, and is the final regular season event leading into the Visit Sarasota County Northeast Tour Championship at Ballyowen Golf Club in Hamburg, N.J., May 9-10.
It is the second consecutive year for the IMG Junior Golf Tour to tee off at Galloping Hill. Last season, the event at Galloping Hill attracted nearly 80 players from four states, and featured local standouts Ryan Davis of Berkeley Heights, N.J. and Yeji Shin of Norwood, N.J., who took home the titles in the Boys and Girls 15-18 divisions, respectively.

Galloping Hill is part of Union County Golf Properties (UCGP) and is owned by the County of Union NJ. UCGP has completed extensive renovations with famed architect Rees Jones restoring the original shot values created by Williard Wilkinson in 1928. These course improvements will provide optimal tournament conditions in April. The event will be open to all competitive players, boys and girls, aged 11-18. AJGA Performance Based Entry Status will be awarded to top finishers, and participants who finish in the top-10 will earn points on the Visit Sarasota County Northeast Tour Points list to determine the players of the year. It will also provide an opportunity for players to be recognized in the national rankings, recognized by the Golfweek/Sagarin Junior Rankings and Junior Golf Scoreboard.
