IMG Junior Golf Tour announces season three schedule
Expanded schedule to feature events in the Northeast
BRADENTON, Fla. (June 28, 2012) – Today the IMG Junior Golf Tour announced its 2012-2013 schedule, which has expanded to include events throughout the Northeast in addition to its Southeast tournaments. The Tour has continued its growth from eight events in the inaugural 2010-2011 season to 18 events in four different states during the 2012-2013 season. This year, the Tour will make stops at top venues in the Southeast, including Grand Cypress Golf Club, World Golf Village and The Club at Savannah Harbor, while also holding events at prestigious clubs throughout the Northeast, including the Wyncote Golf Club in Oxford, Pa., which was ranked No. 7 in the state by Golfweek.
The Tour will kick off at Sara Bay Country Club in Sarasota, Fla., Sept. 22-23, 2012. The first event in the Northeast will be held at Heron Glen Golf Club in Ringoes, N.J., Oct. 13-14, 2012. For the 2012-2013 season, select events will be ranked by the Golfweek/Sagarin Junior Rankings. Additionally, AJGA Performance Based Entry status is available for top finishers, with new events needing to meet a minimum field size of 40 boys and 12 girls to be eligible.
With its Northeast expansion, the Tour will continue to serve as a platform in developing top talent by providing national-level playing opportunities with reasonable entry fees to more junior golfers. The Tour continues to attract national attention with members claiming six AJGA titles this season. Additionally, two-time IMG Junior Golf Tour winner, 14-year-old Andy Zhang, recently made national headlines as the youngest player to ever compete in the U.S. Open.

Registration is now open for both Tour membership and individual events. Tournaments are open to boys and girls ages 11-18 (11-14 & 15-18 age divisions for both boys and girls). Tour membership begins at $49 with a premium membership package featuring additional gifts and enhanced opportunities available for only $99. Membership packages include gifts from Under Armour, the official apparel provider of the IMG Junior Golf Tour. Entry into individual events continues to be a tremendous value with fee options as low as $189 at most tournaments. As an added bonus, players who register for one of the two fall events in the Northeast will be eligible to win two Trophy Club tickets to the final round of the 2013 U.S. Open at Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pa.
