Club Champion, the nation’s premier club fitting and building company, will sponsor two new IMG Junior Golf Tour events in the Northeast U.S. this fall. The first of the two events will be held October 13-14 at Heron Glen Golf Club in Ringoes, N.J., followed by the Club Champion Open, Oct. 27-28, at Wyncote Golf Club in Oxford, Pa.
“Club Champion’s title sponsorship is an exciting addition to the IMG Junior Golf Tour’s third season,” said Andrew Parr, Tournament Director, IMG Junior Golf Tour. “Club Champion and our Tour share a mission of providing players with the resources needed to elevate their game. Our members will benefit tremendously from this new relationship.”
“The IMG Junior Golf Tour has built a strong reputation for developing players through high-level competition, educational programming and access to cutting-edge technology and training,” remarked Matt Siegel, Vice President, Club Champion. “We are excited to aid the Tour in this mission by providing members with access to equipment customized to fit their game.”
Club Champion is located at One Presidential Boulevard in Bala Cynwyd to conveniently serve the entire Delaware Valley. Ranked as a Golf Digest ‘Top 100 Club Fitter,’ Club Champion will provide tournament winners in each age division with a complimentary full-bag fitting. Second place finishers in each division will receive a complimentary driver or iron fitting. Players signing up for at least one of the two Northeast fall events are also automatically entered for a chance to win a pair of Trophy Club tickets to the final round of the 2013 U.S. Open held at Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pa.
The IMG Junior Golf Tour has grown from eight southeast events in its inaugural season, to 18 this coming season in four different states. It is open to players 11-18 years of age, competing in two age divisions (11-14; 15-18). The Tour continues to attract national attention with members claiming six AJGA titles this season. Earlier this year, two-time IMG Junior Golf Tour winner, 14-year-old Andy Zhang, gained national attention as the youngest player ever to play in the U.S. Open.
IMG Junior Golf Tour season membership packages start at $49, and individual tournament entry fees for the Northeast events are $199. Players can register online by visiting www.IMGJuniorGolfTour.com.
